FDNY waffles on 130 Liberty Street Again

On February 22, 2008, a mere 4 days ago, FreePetey reported in article entitled, "FDNY inspections of 130 Liberty Street: The Ten House is still banned from the contaminated areas." (Click Here), that FDNY had divided 130 Liberty Street into "clean" and "dirty" areas and that the TEN HOUSE would now inspect the exterior and the interior "clean" areas while a chief would inspect the "dirty" areas. NEWS FLASH. This FDNY policy has changed again. The TEN HOUSE continues to be banned from inspecting the interior of 130 Liberty Street. The two chiefs assigned to inspect 130 Liberty Street will continue to inspect the entire interior of 130 Liberty Street. There is concern - legitimate concern - within FDNY about how clean the interior of 130 Liberty Street really is and wiser heads have prevailed in not sending the TEN HOUSE in without double Tyvek, etc. Remember: if you saw people coming out of 130 Liberty Street dressed like this ....
